Furstein has been giving debatable sell side opinions his entire carrier and never been prosecuted for any crimes. I doubt he ever will be even sued since he has journalistic privileges to write negative opinions.

Generally, it is up to management to fend off bad press.

Probably, the PPS dropped, despite good data, because this was not one of Misslings best CCs. IMO, he left a few questions open, did not speak clearly enough, did not cover some points in enough detail.

Personally, I have heard him speak better, and I think he could have been better prepared. He did not exude the confidence I have seen from him of late.

I do think their data was quite good and should help get regulatory approvals they want, but we will have to see how the market looks at this data over time. Maybe Missling will do a better job convincing the market at the upcoming quarterly conference call. I do think the stock is not appreciated for its pattern of accomplishments and successful small clinical trials.

AVXL's next big opportunities may come out of discussions with the FDA and the upcoming EXCELLENCE data readout together with any supplemental data provided from this AVATAR trial that Missling aluded to as still under review but coming later, perhaps at a conference.
