They weren’t “hiding” it, for some reason it seemed that being discrete in their regulatory dealings was the wise move. You can claim they “hid” something but regulatory communications are not necessarily best doled out as press releases even if that can temporarily goose a stock. It creates implications that can backfire and that are not ideal conditions for dealing with regulators on a confidential basis.

So for whatever reason, a reason you and we do not know, they apparently felt it was more conducive to harmonious relations with their regulators to stay quiet. That is their choice. No one has to agree with it. One might not understand it or like it, but it is a reasonable choice,
