The journal process is/has taken much longer than any of us had thought… I suspect (I don’t know, lol) that there are more active participants in the collaborative process than perhaps most journal articles deal with when confronting a potential SOC change. And I’m not just thinking about the PIs who participated in the trial itself, but also of the steering committee, the SAB, and the various other advisors (like possibly Stupp types that may be late to the DCVax party, but are determined to play an active role now); and when you throw in the external control arms for both newly diagnosed and recurrent GBM, there’s bound to be a slow down to what is usually a smoother, well-calibrated process, as any suggested changes have to go through multiple sources before moving forward with any suggestions or revisions. Throw Covid, and stay at home time into the mix, which probably added on another five months to the time it’s taken to get published… and perhaps that is a contributing factor for a longer than normal delay in getting the journal published?
