Seriously try reading the next sentence: "Also if Avatar shows similar results in a larger trial, Missling will know that by now."

That is two trials, and Avatar is large enough. Avatar strong results + first trial results substantially derisks Excellence interim peek. It is not like you are peeking without any idea of the results.

If you know the outcome in advance then there is no risk. That sounds suspiciously like the We got this position.

It's more like, if you know the outcome of a similar trial for the same disease in advance, you PROBABLY got this!
