The ONLY thing you can say is that there were rumors to that effect!

management screwed that up.

may have been a non-event (unfounded rumor), in any case that judgement is premature.

Maybe they have pie-in-the-sky expectations and were holding out for a ridiculous price

no evidence of that either. One might note that management knows more about the potential value of this drug, and others in the pipeline than any outsider (such as those posting on this board).
