We have the AVATAR completion date posted now, so we are in the CRO + Anavex data analysis phase. It's taking longer than usual.

I don't think there's reason to attribute the delay to the CRO; it's certainly a possibility, but no more so than in any other concluded trial.

So that leaves us with the Anavex data analysis element as the cause for the continuing wait. And here there seems to be good reason present to take extra time. Missling took longer than usual for the PDD readout (although I don't think quite this long). When the analysis finally appeared, we could see why it was worth having patience. He was cross-analyzing it with AD and Rett. He just came out with a lat'ish 3-71 result that apparently supports a future basket trial (FTD, AD, and schizophrenia), if all goes well.

Chances are he's doing some version of the same thing here -- some analysis that will tie together multiple indications that support the idea of 2-73 as a CNS platform drug. That ambitious level of analysis necessarily requires more time than one-off trial results. And it would be time well spent.
