First of all, my post was my opinion. Now I realize Santa Claus, the Easter bunny, the tooth fairy, marriages until death, cigar wrappers depicting "it's a boy or girl", your own insurance company is your friend and several other beliefs have turned out to be myths. We just learn to accept the reality and move forward without the necessity of hiding the kitchen knives. In my case and the case of any investor, the fiduciary duty of directors to the corporation and the shareholders simply cannot turn out to be a myth. These fiduciary duties should be the cornerstone of trust relied upon by investors assuring that no actions will be taken by a director which results in the devaluation of the company and the share price. If you want to review the fiduciary duties of directors, there is plenty on google. The fiduciary duty was so strong that companies had to provide hold harmless agreements in order to attract candidates for directorships. My fear is that the fiduciary duty has withered away with the crumbling of the ten tablets known as the Ten Commandments.
