Not sure why anyone would even think the SEC is done. Common sense says the civil trial is being held in abeyance until the criminal trial is finished. And even giving Berman all the benefit of the doubt in the current trial. That would not affect the civil trial even if he was innocent.

There is a different standard of proving guilt and much more liberal rules of evidence.
