HP Protect Tools for Embedded Security 1.2 Vista Upgrade

Obviously the HP Protect Tools now work with the BRCM TPM1.2 for one of 2 reasons.

1. IFX made their 3.0 Vista ready version working on NTRU or
2. BRCM TPM 1.2 still can use the IFX TSS

HP websites updated, all the BRCM machines now have the Protect tools for download.

PREREQUISITES:
- For all supported systems except the HP Compaq dc7700 Series PCs, you must insert a valid HP ProtectTools CD in order to install this update.

- TPM must be configured to be viewable through the BIOS Setup (F10) options BEFORE installing this SoftPaq if a BIOS Administrative Password is already set.

NOTE: Follow the instructions in the HP Security user guide to correctly set up TPM hardware and software.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Download the SoftPaq .EXE file to a directory on your hard drive.

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.

3. After the software installation is complete, restart (reboot) the PC or workstation.
