It means,
1° You have to pay for it.
2° It is available for patients outside the UK. (one of my Q’s)
3° There is no (large) waiting list. I asked Mary because there was one in the past.

I’ve heard there’s a waiting list. What is this, and how can I get on the waiting list?

There is a backlog of patients interested in receiving DCVax®-L in the UK through the Specials programme. Please consult with your clinician regarding all available treatment options, and have your doctor contact NWB to see if you are a potential candidate for DCVax®-L

I got an answer within 6 minutes. I guess I wasn't the first to ask about DCVax-L recently.

In answer to your questions:-

1. Yes it is available privately to everyone who is suitable for the treatment by Professor Ashkan in our group.
2. There is not usually a delay with this once a consultation with Prof Ashkan has been booked and the treatment options discussed.

We offer virtual consultations via a platform called Trustedoctor on which you can upload all your images for the consultation. http://www.trustedoctor.com/ On this platform you can make the enquiry, sent a request and the appt will be actioned at this end. Payment is also made via that platform.
