Many lab samples are transported by air from collections sites to the specialized labs that do the analysis. Anavex is collecting blood for genetic analysis, CSF fluids, and stool samples that we know about. Those are likely being transported to the specialized labs that do the sort of analyses that common labs don't do.

I am a member of flight aware and track aircraft in the 200 mi radius from my house. At night I see a number of smaller aircraft from various lab companies flying regular routes. I assume they are moving lab samples since they are regular nightly flights.
