You can't count deaths yet. There is a 2-3 week delay minimum.

And it's not a big miss. Because the government did act with more restrictions. They did speed up the booster campaign. Which is crucial. And, the virus is somewhat milder than they thought.

We still don't know how many deaths though. First it has to reach the elderly population. And then there is another delay. People don't die when they get infected.

It will be far worse in the US. You have 1,000 daily deaths now. That will go up to 3,000 IMO in about 3-4 weeks from now.

Even then, you are making a big mistake. The real problem is long-Covid IMO. This virus has us by the balls at the moment.
