OmiCOLD has been very mild on the individual level, and even at the national levels there has been short-term pain for medical staff, sometimes surpassing last winter's peak, but overall it's still mild.
South Africa and UK are on the downside. The wave is rolling west-to-east. Eastern Europe's turn to go through it now. Big question now is if this will provide an additional layer of durable immunity should there be more waves.
