I looked into this a bit ago.

There are about 600 hyper scale data centers worldwide and growing. More than half operated by Google, Microsoft, and Amazon.

There are about 3 million small to midsize data centers in the USA.

I don’t know about the smaller data centers, but the typical hyper scale data center contains upwards of 100,000 transceivers.

The LWLG patents show 4-8 modulators per transceiver. So in a single hyper scale data center, we’re talking up to 400,000 to 800,000 modulators.
