The legally shorted shares are of no consequence. Tiny amount. Nobody cares.

Nobody cares, also, as to MM’s, shorting daily, buying daily, if to meet any demand, in the traditional sense of ‘making fair and orderly markets’, and then hustling to cover their trades.

It’s the abuse and misuse of market maker exemption, by hedge funds, that creates illegal naked shares. That’s what we’re talking about.

I’m thinking we will find out, whether that is a big number, of consequence. Best, Viking.
