Anavex 2–73 also helps other cellular dysfunctions including proteostasis, autophagy and neuroinflammation that are present in neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental disorders.129,130 It has been efficacious in animal models and human studies in Rett syndrome (unpublished), studies in Alzheimer Disease, in Parkinson's Disease Dementia (unpublished) and most recently in rescuing hyperactivity and other behaviors in the KO FXS mouse.127,131,132

Well, these are some pretty big claims by Dr. Randi Hagerman, an expert neurologist working in neurodegenerative diseases.

Understand, if I would have made such claims (wait, I did), they’d be labeled “ridiculous” (they were).

Moreover, they would have been said to be irresponsible because they might prompt the unknowing to mortgage the house to buy a giant holding in AVXLs.

So, all of the usual and expected cautions regarding this questionable information from Dr. Hagerman are certainly invited. My postings can be understood to be questionable. I have only undergraduate degrees in biology. But, Dr. Hagerman...? What could she accurately know about Anavex 2-73? Has she ever seen the drug in action in individuals with severe CNS diseases? She has.
