Last Christmas I was visited by three ghosts, one of them, Marley, my former business partner, (I know, just like the Dickens story, but it happened to me too!). It was quite an evening, I mean really, three ghosts in one night - true, all true, not boasting!

But I digress... It's too long a story and would take me an hour to relate here so I'll cut to the chase... I learned something important from the experience.

First of all, people with disabilities like Tiny Tim have a lot to say if you pay attention. Quite notably he said to me, "God bless us, every one!" I know, again like Dickens, but I swear it happened to me too.

Impossible to forget that kid. Man, he really knew how to get his message across to me in that dream - so simple, direct, and true - wow!

The next day after Tim dropped that most quotable phrase and the ghosts scared the hell out of me, I vowed that I might be more generous with my wealth instead of just watching my stocks, buying cool stuff online, etc., and start to focus more on giving and offering kindness to others, even deferring judgement of their acts and failings, though it's tempting sometimes. I'm told it's God's job to judge, not mine. I'm not very religious, but I believe that's about right.

Helping to feed the hungry and promoting education for those less well off than I, yes, those are good ideas too. I should work on that.

I'm not perfect of course, there is this little company that makes a polymer that could be transformative, ubiquitous even, (see LWLG), that I often pay too much attention to when I could be doing something more productive,... but I'm losing track of my story here...

I can't solve all the problems in the world. But I can do my part and do it with good spirit and true heart.

Giving is joy. We need more joy. There is a shortage of joy.

I offer the following wish in memory of friends that have left our world this year as well as friends and family from the past.

I am wishing everyone at this message board, their families and communities here in the good old USA and all around the world, a prosperous and healthy Christmas season and New Year.

As my pal Tiny Tim said; "God bless us, every one!"

Cheers,
Toby
