"Please note we have revised the downtime window for CTM™, ALERT®, DTCC Exception Manager & OASYS™ on December 24, 2021 based on client feedback around potential impact in Canada.
Dear valued clients,
Cybersecurity remains a critical issue for the financial services industry. DTCC has not been impacted by the security issue related to Apache’s Log4j utility, but has been closely monitoring events since the vulnerability was first disclosed. Our teams have been actively engaged with relevant parties to understand how this issue could impact our systems and have already taken several actions to mitigate our exposure. Please be advised that on December 24, 2021, DTCC’s Institutional Trade Processing (ITP) team will deploy a security patch to further remediate the vulnerability as it impacts the Common Messaging Interface (CMI) at the application layer for the CTM (FIX, MTI, and Push v2 & v3 interfaces), ALERT, DTCC Exception Manager, and OASYS Services.
The services listed above will be temporarily unavailable as the security patch is deployed to the production environment on December 24, 2021 between the hours of 2 PM ET to 6 PM ET. This deployment may take up to 4 hours to complete and clients will not be able be able to access the impacted applications during this time. ITP will post an update on ServiceCentral as soon as the applications are available and we advise clients to monitor this closely.
