The Center for Biological Diversity submitted a petition for the listing in 2019 and filed a lawsuit last year in an effort to force the protections and halt Australian mining company’s plans for the Nevada lithium mine. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service issued a proposed rule to add the wildflower, known as Tiehm’s buckwheat to the endangered list.
“We find that Tiehm’s buckwheat flower is in danger of extinction … The primary threats are destruction, modification or curtailment of its habitat from mineral exploration and development, road development and other vehicle use, … “existing regulatory mechanisms may be inadequate to protect the species,” It’s a freekin’ ugly weed.
The environmentalists, through the EPA and its tentacles are killing off diesel vehicles, followed by the demise of gasoline vehicles. The replacement…electric vehicles…BUT WAIT…some f’in flower is more important than the necessary lithium battery. What the F are they thinking?!?!
While this is ludicrous, there might be a silver lining for CUBV. Don’t go all nutso; one lunatic here is enough. But there may be a clue here. It’s just a thought.
I'm petitioning the EPA to make jogging a Federal Crime. Jogging increases the intake of oxygen and in turn, increases the release of carbon dioxide. With millions of people jogging daily, I can make a valid argument that jogging must be eliminated. Peace; and save the f'n planet.
Chemistry major; double minor; biology/zoology and hate the EPA
