Best time to sell AVXL.

I respect for his thought [Warren Buffet’s] that, if you get the right stock, the best time to sell is never.

Well now, that’s an interesting stock investing dictum; the one that I’ve applied to my moderate AVXL holding.

How to financially gain with Anavex? Small but frequent day-trading profits? Profit-taking over longer holding periods (many months or quarters)?

For either of those approaches one must repeatedly buy low and sell high. For those who have successfully mastered those ins and outs, I marvel. To see how that would work for me I did some on-paper (well, on spreadsheet) “trading” of a designated (but imaginary) portion of my AVXL holding. Glad my trades were only on paper. I lost a few percent of value.

Based upon the science of Anavex Life Sciences Corp, which as a professional biologist I can understand, I’ll let that be my AVXL investment guide. Buy. Hold. So far, very successful. My average, overall AVXL cost basis is $2.67. At the moment, with the share price at $19.22, I have a 619% value gain. My buy and hold approach to Anavex has been very successful. It’s taken longer than five years, but the AVXL share price appreciation has not tapered.

With positive results of the three blarcamesine trials to appear in the coming quarters (2022 and 2023), the share price can elevate by an order of magnitude (10x). In 2023 or 2024, when Anavex is authorized and can sell blarcamesine commercially, with the generated corporate revenues those sales will provide, the share price can add yet another digit.

By then, quarterly dividends will be distributed to shareholders. My modest holding (several thousand shares) will provide for me and my wife very adequate dividend income. Don’t anticipate having to liquidate any of my shares. They will pass on to my estate beneficiaries, my two children and their families.

Again, I like Buffett’s claim, “If you own the right stock, the best time to sell is never.” AVXL, so far, for me, is “the right stock.” That will be confirmed with the release of the clinical results in the next few quarters.

My best wishes for all, both traders and holders.
