Is Bennie subject to civil suits?

If I'd been shown Bennie's $250K NTEK stock purchase check with the forged bank stamp in order to get me to fork over real money for this handful of beans, I'd want to take my pound of flesh out of the guy.

That might only apply to people Bennie met or talked to directly, or that he told specific, obvious lies to. But my guess is that's a whole lot of people.
