With apologies to Matthew, a stock cannot live on breadcrumbs alone.

Hushed conversations over the phone are no substitute for competent communication. Every piece of hearsay rattled off, could have just as easily been shared in a PR, quarterly conference call, or other formal communique.

And I'll reiterate my initial point, which is that none of the criticism I'm levying is intended to impugn the underlying science. Rather, it's management's continued bungling of something as simple as communication that leaves many of us, rightfully, wondering whether they are competent enough to handle the science in a way that allows it to shine.

Right now, it's not shining.
