We haven't seen an increase in inflation like this in 39 years (1982) when we were deep into a years-long period of stagflation.

That was the year I bought my first home with a 30 year fixed mortgage over 18%.

I remember that period well and we are headed there again, thanks to an inept Federal Reserve.
