Anavex and Autism

The autism rate among 8-year-old children in the United States is one in 44 and one in 35 in New Jersey, according to a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) report that included researchers at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.

“The new findings show that autism prevalence has not plateaued,” a new report indicates. Autism continues to be an ever more present neurological condition, so severely impacting the lives of millions.

It was said that “Better strategies to improve early detection of autism are needed, as is new research to identify environmental triggers and risk factors for ASD...”

Well, yes. But it needs to be clinically determined if blarcamesine can prevent or reverse the disease. The Anavex (blarcamesine) Rett trial, when it concludes, may provide some guidance. Rett syndrome is a form of autism.
