Implications of Hanukkah being this week

Hanukkah is typically in December, but started on Nov 29 this year.

After doing an internet search to see if the government and business are closed during Hanukkah, the following very interesting point was discovered to my delight:

In addition to commemorating a military victory, Hanukkah remembers the 'miracle of the oil'. After the victory, when the Maccabees came to rededicate the Temple, they discovered they only had one flask of oil left to relight the Menorah. Miraculously, this small flask lasted for eight days

The oil spoken of here was obviously providing a form of energy, not food consumption.

It would be very appropriate for the miracle of crude oil discovery to be on Hanukkah, and for the oil to last much longer than the initial reservoir sizing said it should! Hence the hook in the jaw from such a small geographic area.

On the original point for the search, it appears that business are open as usual during Hanukkah, but schools are closed. So, at least with a casual investigation, it looks like the week long holiday will not prevent a PR.
