Actually, it won’t be Anavex’s science (unique therapeutic molecules) that lead, promote a coming medical science revolution. In fact, it will be the sociology of Anavex science that moves the science forward.

It will be one thing for Anavex to announce profoundly positive therapeutic results for any of the three clinical trials now in progress. “Anavex announces very positive clinical results from blarcamesine treating Rett syndrome patients.” Then, similar announcements for Parkinson’s disease dementia and Alzheimer’s. No doubt, extremely powerful, game-changing information.

But everything changes when the general public learns not of the exact science of blarcamesine, but, rather, when it is learned that people taking the drug simply get much better. Little girls with Rett can live more normal lives. So very nice. But people with the dementia of Parkinson’s disease are able to think normally, live a normal life. Virtually everyone knows (or is related to) someone suffering from the lethal progression of Alzheimer’s. How will they respond when they learn that blarcamesine both stops and reverses the dementia of Alzheimer’s?

Will the general public (like Anavex naysayers here) say, “Yea, but blarcamesine is a yet unknown, not properly tested new drug. There must be great caution in letting massive numbers of people take the unproven drug. Still too many questions.”

It will be the restored human behaviors of previously debilitated CNS patients that control and propel the future of Anavex Life Sciences Corp. There will be no hesitancies in demanding additional trials for all of the other diseases and conditions the drug might ameliorate.

Finally, blarcamesine prophylaxis will be publicly pondered, then demanded. Why wait to get Alzheimer’s before being allowed to take the safe drug. Take it early, before any symptoms. Then, sleep well, maintain youthful cognition into old age.

The biggest, most powerful lobbyists for expanded availability and usages of Anavex drugs will be the general public itself. Those proclaiming, “But we need more testing, we need to wait!” will be laughed at. With hundreds of thousands of Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s patients being discharged from care facilities, back to normal lives, this Anavex-generated sociology will prevail. The actual science, great as it will be, will be secondary.
