We are all operating on deduction. But it's not elementary, in this case. :) We are too far to eliminate all the other possibilities and we don't do so with regard to investments because all investments have unknowable issues even for insiders, to a large degree, but definitely for us outsiders. Think about future statements and unknowable future events, or timing. It's all about opinion in that context, truthful opinion, but not fact. Predictions about the future are not facts.

We can't have all the "facts" as bulletin board posters and investors - we're not on the INSIDE. Deduction is based on what we can see and know only. So I think that argument is unfortunately not consistent with my view regarding opinions and logic, in these kinds of circumstances.

Plus you have physics and the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle. There are things we can't really know, but can believe we know, and that might be good enough in some circumstances, but not in others.
