No one said they were never going to present. And I suspect you do not understand their rationale, so your explanation is likely going to be missing the factors that are driving their decision. You may have done your best job to explain and I am not saying you did anything wrong, nor that they did not give you honest opinions. But you’re literally not in their place, and the only advice I can suggest is, what I do, if my gut feeling is telling me a company is doing something “all wrong” then I am out. I do not see it that way, but you’re clearly confident in your expertise and beliefs and no one should question your feelings.

In my career, when I see someone doing something completely wrong, I always have many other options that have been set aside to focus on those few options to which I dedicate my resources. If I am not satisfied, I switch it up.

I am not saying this as a form of criticism, whatever people may think. It’s pretty much the basics of investing I think. If an investment goes against my view of what is normal or best, and I am truly confident of it, I don’t generally post on the company’s boards, I might discuss it in the context of another investment, or on a similar company I chose instead, as a comparable opportunity, but I don’t generally try to impugn the capability of the managers or undermine the company because, at heart, I know I made a judgment call, though I did not have all the information that they had, so it was not a fully informed decision, whatever I might think. It was an honest opinion with the information I had available.

Plus, how you ask a question of friends and acquaintances can be just as important as what facts were given and what was said as background. People are typically not going to question others on their investments but back them up. That is a basic social dynamic, especially if they are not selling. But they are not invested in your decision, either way typically.
