I think a lot of people are holding because "it's not a loss if you don't sell". So they sit here an whine about it hoping that somehow does something.

It's hard to take that hit and then move it somewhere else and gamble again in the hopes of recovering the original losses (and then some). I'm sure there's a psychological/statistical term out there that describes this human condition. Gambler's paradox? I'm not motivated to go down the Google rabbit-hole at the moment.
