I hope so. They did use the delayed release formulation in Phase 2a trial already, with good results, so what happened? Best case scenario might be that they are doing immediate release in addition to delayed release, but it's strange that they appear to be switching, that there appears to be a problem now with delayed release, but we don't know exactly what is going on.

I don't think we want to destroy the good bacteria in the stomach and small intestine, just the bad ones in the colon.

Sorry I missed it in the 10K 6 weeks ago, just thought I'd see if it was still on track.

Love the scientist talk. Hopefully they can figure it out!

But in the meantime, it looks like we are going back to Phase 1 with immediate release, and who knows where and how brilacidin will be distributed on immediate release from a pill compared to delayed release. It's also possible systemic absorption will be different in the small intestine vs. large intestine.
