Interesting that you compare our situation to that of a 5 year Lebanese hostage. It is actually quite helpful for me to accept where I am mentally.

Closing on 9 years held hostage here myself. Unlike Terry Waite my bindings are mostly financial and mental, not physical. Initially, these were self-imposed but now I am not so sure of that I have any control as the consistent psychological programming has taken root. My captors have messed with my brain quite a bit over the past 9 years so I think that I need professional deprogramming to break free from the hold over me and my portfolio. Like Terry, I have been frequently told to expect results in the coming weeks or months many times. Now I understand a little more about why that roller coaster has been done to me, not by me as some have here suggested. (This is tongue in cheek…mostly)
