Short Rats fleeing the ship..?

I always wonder (am skeptical) about theses pre-market trades.

Could either be a short cover in advance of some unknown news...or

it is a mark on the day for shorts to start shorting from that point.

This has nothing to do with LWLG but stocks in general. Observed this phenomenon watching FCEL pre-market trends..
