I think a major part of whether or not they can sustain the current P and L will hinge on how long they can continue to bank the carbon credits courtesy of the US Government. The cars themselves are not particularly profitable, at least not enough to justify the current valuation. One quarter either late last year or early this year they were only profitable because of their Bitcoin holdings appreciating rapidly.
