It took my grandmother in the early 90s, not FTD, standard Alzheimer’s. Non-violent, the kind where she would just strip wherever she was standing. By the end the only person she knew was the nurse, she was granted the sweet relief of death in the form of multiple strokes shortly thereafter. My mother (her daughter) is 75 and still works, very sharp, but her head isn’t still, it trembles slightly, she had what they’re calling a TIA two Easters ago. Hoping it’s unrelated to genetics but not much is as far as those things go. Her mother’s onset in her early 70s. It really is one of the most cruel diseases on the planet, right up there with ALS
