It took my grandmother in the early 90s, not FTD, standard Alzheimer’s. Non-violent, the kind where she would just strip wherever she was standing. By the end the only person she knew was the nurse, she was granted the sweet relief of death in the form of multiple strokes shortly thereafter. My mother (her daughter) is 75 and still works, very sharp, but her head isn’t still, it trembles slightly, she had what they’re calling a TIA two Easters ago.
