How these manipulation things work -- if you want to maximize a short opportunity, you:

1) Let a positive trend run, even pump it
2) Get your short positions in, then
3) Create or ride bad news down

No one puts in a big short post news.

In this case, it appears different. There was no big runup. (There was a modest one.) The coordination appears to have been in anticipation of good news (probably not earnings, but more likely PREPARE-IT-2, could be something else as well).

You have the ridiculous class action shit, trolls showing up on this board to sour sentiment, and hit pieces in shitty publications. It seems so much more likely they are trying to create the best entry price rather than simultaneously FUDding and shorting.
