Well, the 5 plantations are not being spun-off. They wouldn't be on the balance sheet if they are being spun-off.
The only plausible explanation I have is, that the 5 plantations have already been sold to parent. Although it is not final until the spin-off itself is final. In this case they would have to eliminate the earnings, I think. But they can't eliminate the assets (YET).
So this would make sense. It's a bit hard to believe. But it is the only theory that makes sense. And of course parent leaving shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.
Very curious if I am right about this. And also very curious about how much cash they are leaving behind. Because there will be some, or a lot
