one thing i learned in all option strategies is just keep it simple so that it's easy to manage. all these spreads/iron condors etc is too much wasting brain cells. 1) follow the chart and buy cheap calls or puts 2) like farooq if you own lot of shares just sell covered calls or 3) sell puts even further strikes to collect premium if you really like the stock once it falls more than 5 to 10%. even if you get assigned you will get a good price.
I met a nice guy in my tennis class who works for 1k employee hedge fund. all he does most of the time for his clients money is 2 and 3 above. My go to strategy is number 1.
