Yes I really like and understand what you are saying. I am doing just as you wrote, "Best thing becoming expert in five indexes and 10 to 20 ETFs". SPXL and TQQQ are my go to and bread winning etf's. Playing around of late with a handfull of No-Q's high flyers is really starting to pay off. I still have a very soft spot for ROKU and SQ.
I spent 2.5 hrs with my Edward Jones advisor last Fri and showed him how badly I was smoking him. However I also conceded that he does not have the time to put into the market that I do. I am easily spending 2-3 hrs a day. As a result, he has just a very small amount of money invested in stocks. But he has all my bond money and I am pleased with what he is doing. I just don't have the bandwidth to watch it all.
So the two new things I have done this month is I started using a 30 day SPY option in place of buying SPLX. In less than a week I have generated $787 in profit with options vs $690 I would have made with SPXL. Next step will be to do all investing for SPXL with SPY options. And the next step will be to use the options to increase my investment %.
In my IRA I am now invested at 110%. If it continues to work well and no reason it shouldn't, I will take the level up to at least 125%.
