Pat Boone Loves His Osbourne Neighbors
By Stephen M. Silverman

The quintessential 1950s square, milk-and-cookies singer Pat Boone, is the best neighbor a person could ever have, so sayeth none other than Ozzy Osbourne.

As for Boone, the feeling was mutual, he tells the Associated Press.

“I’ve visited with Ozzy and Sharon, and nights when they had loud music playing, they never heard any complaints from me,” Boone, 68, tells the news service.

The “April Love” singer admits that having a rocker next door for three years initially left him worried, as he “expected to hear loud music coming from Ozzy’s house. It wasn’t him as much as it were his kids that were playing (loud) music, anyway.”

On the topic of music, Boone adds that he was surprised to hear his rendition of “Crazy Train” used as the theme song of “The Osbournes.” Oh, and by the way — he claims to have seen every episode.

As a neighbor, Boone says his “fondest memory … was riding bikes with Sharon through Beverly Hills on the sidewalks, and she’s towing Ozzy behind her in a wagon because (of his) balance problem.”

They were neighbors for three years until the Osbournes moved to a more "MTVish" home.
