The 14th week of trading, post-settlement, continues...


Just curious:
Where would you "park" a $600M to $2-3B settlement?
Would you earn 0.55% on a CD when inflation is running at 6% or higher?

SS, yesterday, announced an increase of 5.9% for the 2022 COLA for wage inflation. Let's round it up to 6%. The actual inflation rate is higher. This means that each 30 day delay is costing all shareholders, including Billy, about 0.5% in purchasing power.

This is called an opportunity cost. Shareholders are being denied the opportunity to generate favorable returns from settlement proceeds.
