I tried calling in an order on one of the stocks where Schwab says "call a broker" instead of "closing transactions only". The broker could not enter the buy order.
I called in and complained to a supervisor about the confusing message, as I had built a list of 20 "call in " stocks and wanted to place GTC orders to buy 250K of each of them at .0002 (as some other posters have said, I will buy $50 worth of almost anything at .0002). He was unable to tell me what criteria triggered one message vs. the other, but confirmed that even their brokers can't buy expert market stocks for you, even if you get the "call in" message. He also confirmed there was no definite schedule for automated updates from OTC Markets, and pretty much said that if and when the back end changed to automate that feed there almost certainly would not be any proactive communications to customers, even those like me with a long history of buying pink sheet stocks. Guess I'll have to keep trying some of my tickers every day and call in every week for an updated status.
If I get any updated information I will post it here.
If I could afford to buy all of them, I would not need to buy any of them and I sure wouldn't be spending time on the message boards!
