CT. Great to get the insights from a cardiac nurse
Statins are generic . My generic Crestor costs Kaiser around $7 for 3 months ( I think ) …they haven’t charge me for it at all so far this yr ….as far as I can tell
I’m on Medicare

ICER did a cost / benefit analysis and V is very cost effective for secondary prevention CAD patients in the US and probably also in the wealthier EU countries like Germany … but probably not in Poland ( as example )

PCI’s , etc … the need for and cost of … are part of the cost / benefit analysis
The WAC ( wholesale price ) for Vascepa is now over $140 a month I think …, higher in the EU
So if a PCI with one stent costs for example $15,000 in the US … is it cost effective to prescribe for primary prevention ?
That’s a trick question … the data we have from R-IT is for mainly diabetic and secondary prevention patients so I don’t think we have data on solely non diabetic primary prevention ….. if we do , please link
