Sid it’s important to understand court proceedings; it’s like an appointment! No need to go to the doctor if the symptoms have cleared up!


Years ago I was involved in a very high profile court case where the Judge was to issue a summary judgement, which was bypassed because the lawyers had come to ‘agreement’! I was listening in by phone. In a matter of 10 minutes I lost 400,000 dollars… if the Summary Judgement had been given based on submitted court documents! (Few hundred pages) I would of made possible between 1-2 million dollars!


My point? The Court makes appointments for the Judge via a docket! When the case comes up and Judge is no longer needed to determine if case should go to trial because ‘it’s settled’
Then all subsequent dates will/should be dissolved!
But that initial appointment needs to be made to state that the case has been resolved for the sake of court records!

Court is now adjourned!!
