That`s the way it used to be done before computers and being able to trade from a laptop or phone. But that format is hardly used now. If a Brokerage firm is buying for themselves or large client; they may have their own MM who will represent them. I tried calling my broker a few years ago and place such an order. The stock went up while I was talking to them over the phone. No scruples. But please, don`t allow me to sway your strategy. Best of success. Goodnight.
