That may or may not include LFP batteries. Phosphate extraction is a messy business. Years ago I had a number of business trips down to Bartow, FL, with the Florida Institute of Phosphate Research (FIPR). If you have ever been down there the landscape is littered with about two dozen gyp stacks; basically man made hills of phosphogypsum, a byproduct of phosphate after being mixed with sulphuric acid to create phosphoric acid which is used in fertilizers. It is also a big environmental problem in that it is hard to dispose of since the phosphogypsum is slightly radioactive. Most of the research shows that it is actually so slight that you would have to sleep on it for decades. But FIPR hasn't convinced the EPA that there can be safe uses for it such as being used in paving roads.
Florida, which is the nation's largest phosphate producer also risks running out of phosphate; however Canada is a major producer.
I'll have to dig more into the LFP supply chain ingredients which also includes cobalt, nickel, graphite and manganese.
One of the key industries going forward will be battery storage energy systems (BESS). Whoever cracks the key to enable cheap and more efficient storage and recharging will make out like bandits.
