Having just over 75,000,000 SO is nothing. I take comfort that Missling has $150 million in the bank, enough for 5 years at current burn-rate. Financing can be down-fall of most young companies and can inhibit their ability grow organically. Most partner up, giving some of the royalties away to another company...this is true dilution of company profits and shareholder profitability.

Lets take a deeper look and see what some other larger, very successful tech companies have for OS:

NVDA: 2.49 billion SO
MSFT: 7.12 billion SO
TSLA: 1 billion SO
CSCO: 4.22 billion SO
MRNA: 434 million SO

so yes, dilution of Anavex shares have been minimal for a dev stage biotech or true tech company. In the end, diluting the 35 or so million shares in the last few years WILL NOT matter, if successful w/ 2-73. Doing another 100-150 million after approval of 2-73 wont matter either. You need the cash to get to the finish-line and expand business development, plain and simple.
