No doubt the driver of this Tesla misused AP, but AP still glitched and collided with side wall before continuing forward. I'm surprised Tesla engineers havent setup AP to auto pullover when being pursued by the cops. At least AP didnt hit another cop car.

According to a California Highway Patrol incident log, the vehicle hit a roadside wall shortly after 11 p.m. and kept traveling as the driver was reportedly unconscious.

AIR7 HD was over the end of the incident around 11:20 p.m. as the Tesla vehicle was traveling at slow speeds and eventually came to a standstill after a CHP vehicle stopped directly in front of the car. CHP units had been following the Tesla prior to getting it to stop.

Although it appeared authorities were in pursuit of the car, CHP later said it did not classify the incident as a chase.

Incidently this occurred after a CME did a glancing blow to the earths magnetic field.

THE AFTERGLOW OF A 'WEAK' CME: A CME hit Earth's magnetic field on Sept. 17th at ~0200 UT. The impact was very weak, lifting the solar wind speed by a measly 40 km/s. Although first contact was weak, the CME managed to stir geomagnetic activity hours later when Earth passed through magnetic fields in the CME's wake.

200UT is 7pm Pacific Time. 4 hours later is when this occurred during geomagnetic activity.
