As promised let me address this. The article in question was originally published on Aug 26, 2021 by a writer at the school and everything described about the people and nature of the upcoming trial is accurate except they left us out. The person writing it obviously doesn't even know who we are and when we brought it to Dr. Ricordi's attention in August he had it immediately removed. Somehow it got republished and Dr. Ricordi is working on getting it taken down again because it's not accurate.

The trial has not launched even though the headline says so. Their definition of launched is that everything is in place but not one single patient has been treated because the trial has not been funded to allow for it. We have been in process with Dr. Ricordi and the University in switching all the paperwork from academic to commercial and those contracts are underway(yes it can take a while to do material transfers at university level) and close to being executed. Remember our headlines of "Pivotal Registration" thats what that is all about.

Simultaneous to all of the work with the university we are working closely with Venvalo to engage the CRO who will be the spearhead for both the clinical trial as well as the EUA in the USA. So there are a lot of moving parts here with a lot of parties simultaneously involved but thats the way it is.

So i am sorry if you got the wrong impression about that article - it's certainly all true except it hasn't actually launched and eventually that article will go away.
