I'm not against religion. Like I said, it saved my sister in a time when her life was spiraling down the toilet.

As a young lad, I hung around with a ton of other kids who were indoctrinated into a deal that they didn't sign up for. I went to Lutheran, Baptist and Catholic churches if only an excuse to get out of the house.

I had the most fun at the Baptist church. We went on field trips and played ball outside with a good potluck meal delivered to us when it all was over. No talk about jesus until we had to go back in.

I was "saved" by jesus and the pastor at that time. LOL When I went to catholic school, I got "confirmed" by Cardinal Bernadin at Holy Name Cathedral. It didn't mean shit to me at the time but it was something that made my relatives proud. Especially my great Uncle who was a serious racist in private but started a food pantry around here called St Vincent De Poors. Now it's DePaul but we won't shred them for that today.

He helped so many people but called them lowlifes behind their back. That's what pissed me off I guess but I loved my aunt and uncle so I brushed it off until later in life when they passed.

I just think that one can do for themselves and others exactly what the 'scriptures' preach to them without calling out on anyone who doesn't like their views.

Once again, this is not a knock on religion. I understand how it is sometimes needed for a person that has nowhere else to go and that's where I'm at today. I got lucky to be able to help people in need and honestly, I love their stories. We laugh and cry together and it helps us both.

I've seen a ton of shit. Abused children, women and men who dedicated their lives to those churches and are afraid to speak out. Well I do it for their memory and everyone else like them.

I never got myself into a situation where I was abused but I knew some others that were told that if you want to keep your scholarship, you won't tell anyone. Oh yes, and god bless you too.

Faith is a word they use also. I have faith in myself and the people I meet most days. I don't have faith in some fictitious person in the sky. It works for some, but just not me.

call me whatever you want, I don't care but it's sickening to see these bastards scanning your credit information so they can buy million dollar airplanes to fly them anywhere they see a pocket can be picked.

People are so fucking gullible.
