JR/Ex/LC, what are your thoughts on this 2018 JAMA Oncology article stating that the average time from available results to publication is 300 days? I'm sure Covid would bump that up a bit, so does knowing that we're actually currently around the average publication time change your views? You've said that because we're a bit less than a year out that's "an extremely bad sign" and "ridiculous"--JAMA says otherwise.


The paper clearly said that the average time from a PR announcing TLD to publication of full results was 300 days.

It did not say 300 days from datalock.

BTW, it also says that failed trials usually take longer. The clock from data lock is now 335 and ticking.

Reality is vitualy all companies report TLD in a PR very soon after the data is available. So the paper did not even provide stats on companies that failed to PR the TLD.
